Dr. Prarabdh C. Badgujar is an Assistant Professor of Food Toxicology at National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Sonipat, India. He has more than 11 years of teaching and research experience. He got his doctorate from the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly, India in the Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology. During graduation, he has been a recipient of the merit-based “Neomec Project Shiksha Scholarship” from the INTAS Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He has also been awarded the prestigious “DST-INSPIRE Fellowship” by the DST, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. He is recipient of competitive “Summer Research Fellowship” offered by the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore. He has been awarded MASHAV Scholarship by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Govt. of Israel for attending International Training Course in Food Safety. He is a Member of FSSAI’s Scientific Panel on “Contaminants & toxins in food”. He has published more than 40 research articles in the high impact factor international journals. One Indian patent has been granted and three patents have been published & are in process of being granted. He has completed two externally funded research projects and three Industry funded research projects He is also Coordinator/Faculty In-Charge of the NIFTEM's "Incubation Centre on Meat and Poultry Processing". He has guided 3 PhD scholars and 25 M.Tech students and currently supervising 2 Ph.D. scholars and 4 M.Tech students. His research interest areas include safety and toxicity evaluation of chemicals/foods/nutraceuticals, Bioactive peptides & protein foods, Formulations and development of nutraceuticals and functional foods, Application of nanotechnology in foods, etc.
