Deven Khanna is a practicing Advocate in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh. He also appears in  Quasi-Judicial authorities including but not restricted to the State Consumer Redressal Commission, State Service Administrative Tribunal, Electricity Tribunal, National Green Tribunal, to name a few.

He has worked extensively on various landmark judgments both in High Court and the Supreme Court of India. His expertise is in the areas of Constitutional law, Civil and Criminal procedure, Writs, Cryptocurrency related issues, Domestic Arbitration, Recovery Suits, Development Authorities and Panchayat Matters, Trusts/ Cooperative Societies Matters, MSME matters, Labour law, Service Law and PILs.

He frequently advises various individuals, body corporates, Companies, Firms and associations on regulatory compliance, litigation strategies, documentation, conveyancing and general legal counselling.

 

He advises companies/firms/individuals for compliance-related matters under land laws for the purchase/lease of property etc in H.P. 

 

He also does compliance-related work for Hemp/Medicinal Cannabis Industries in the State of H.P and Uttarakhand under NDPS Act, Drugs and Cosmetics Act and related rules/orders/notifications. He has experience of working with Excise Department, Ayush and Horticulture Department of the State for compliance/licensing.

 

He has directly worked for policy formation for legalization and commercial use of hemp in H.P with the policy-makers.

An alumnus of the prestigious National Law School he completed his 5-year B.Com. LLB (Hons.) with a first-class degree. He has authored and contributed in various International and National publications of repute.

He provides pro bono Legal Aid for public Interest matters where the cause is relating to Civil liberties/ Human Rights/ Environmental Law and also for the clients who are eligible for grant of Legal Aid under the parameters set out by the Hon'ble Courts.
