Prof. Ajay Sharma is currently working as a Professor, in the Department of Pharmacognosy, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University, New Delhi. He has done Ph.D. from Poona College of Pharmacy, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. He has more than 13 years of teaching and research experience. He has been awarded Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the Yeungnam University Republic of Korea, a Senior Research Fellowship from the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi, India, and a Junior Research Fellowship from the University grants commission, New Delhi, India during his studies. He has published more than 50 research articles in peer-reviewed journals of national and international repute. He has presented papers at national and international conferences. He has contributed a book and two book chapters. He has filed one Indian patent. He is a member of various national and international bodies. He has served previous organizations in various capacities as Director, Dean, and Head of Department. His research area includes Drug discovery and development from natural sources, Ethnopharmacology, Natural product chemistry, Metabolomics, Plant Biotechnology, Bioactivity-guided fractionation, and Bioconversions.
