Dr Kiron R Jathar, Associate Professor, Senior Vice Principal, is a recognized research guide in the subject of Chemistry and Member (Vice Chancellors Nominee), Board of Studies in Chemistry, (University of Mumbai) for the second term. She is chairman MSc Part I examination and has been a moderator, paper setter for UG and PG examination of the university of Mumbai and Autonomous colleges. She is a member of the Syllabus Revision committee for PG and UG courses for university of Mumbai. She has been a Chair person for the FYBSc Syllabus Revision Committee. She has been on various bodies of the University of Mumbai as Member of the LIC committee, CAS committee (career Advancement Committee) etc.

She has completed her PhD from The Institute of Science, Mumbai, under the guidance of Dr M S Chande. She has worked majorly on thiazoles and triazoles and their Biological activities. She was a recipient of DST and University of Mumbai Scholarships during her Ph.D. She has completed two Minor Research projects funded by UGC. She has many research papers to her Credit.

She has coordinated several conferences in collaboration with Green ChemisTree Foundation, an industrial body and has many National and International awards to her credit. The International Woman’s Achiever award at Dubai by Bioleague (2018), 100 Most impactful Global leaders for Health Care and Mental wellbeing award 2019 by ET now, Award for Outstanding contribution in Green Chemistry and education by Pharmaceutical Royal International Society (PRISAL) (2019), Golden Global award for her contribution to Green Chemistry awareness (2019), Eminent Teacher Award by Doc Rosh Global solutions (2019) at Mumbai

She has been on advisory board for National and international conferences. Her area of research is Heterocyclic chemistry and Green Chemistry. She is active member of many academic and Professional bodies
