Dr. Vinod Kumar Kansal has been presently working as Pharmaceutical Consultant Previously, he worked in Amoli Organics Pvt. Ltd., Vadodara, as President R&D, for the last two years. Before joining Amoli, he served as the President R&D, TEVA API India Ltd. for 12 years,  Greater Noida:  Vice president  R&D, Alembic Limited, Vadodara for 2 years and  Associate Director, Lupin Laboratory for 8 years  and Group Leader, at ICI and Hoechst Research Center.

Dr. Kansal obtained his Ph.D. degree from CDRI in 1981 under the supervision of Dr. Bhaduri. After finishing his Ph.D., he joined The University of Ulster, Colraine, N. Ireland as Research Associate with Prof W. E. Watts and K. C. Knipe and in subsequent year he moved to University of East Anglia, Norwich, as Senior Research Associate and pursued his research work with Prof. R.J.K. Taylor. In 1983, He moved to CNRS, Gif Sur Yvette and worked with Prof. P. Potier,   at the interface of Chemistry and Biology.
In 1986, Dr. Kansal , Obtained a faculty position in CNRS and moved to Pasteur Institute, Paris, as Charge du Research au CNRS and pursued his research on Antisense oligonucleotide, synthetic DNA probes and Adenylate kinase inhibitors. 
He has  35 papers and 77 patents to his credit.
Dr. Kansal has received TEVA’s Highest Award for Innovation in 2005 & 2009 and BU Regional Award in 2007 & 2009. He was also the Adjunct Professor at “Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi.
